I bought this book with great hopes that the All New Girl Detective would be something special. I was greatly disappointed. As an avid reader of Nancy Drew for over 35 years and a collector, this new series does not due the series justice and has made a mockery of our Nancy Drew. No longer the brave and resourceful teen sleuth, she has been reduced to a mere wanna-be detective who no longer has wit and cool. Her friends Bess and George has been so rewritten as to make an old series reader wonder ¿who are these people?¿ And I know many fans who have been so disappointed by this new series they have turned away and looked to the old favorite classic Nancy Drew books for a reread. If the publishers wanted to jazz up and modernize Nancy for the 21st century, they did a very poor job. The Nancy Drew Files Series and The Nancy Drew on Campus Series each tried to change the original tried and true formula with little success (although I personally like the Files Series). It is a shame that this is what the wonderful Nancy Drew series has become. Don't worry true fans; I predict this new format won't be around for long as its popularity and poor sales will prove once and for all - don't mess with success. Bring back our Nancy!

Disappointed! I am a 15 teen year old girl and I've read all of the original Nancy drew book and I started reading them around 8, this new selection of books were very disappointing because I expected more. Many would agree with me that the originals were way better
