Good book for a beginning carver
I wanted to carve a nativity scene as a gift for Christmas for my parents. As a beginning carver, this book explained very well how to go step-by-step to create each figure. After the carving section on each figure is a painting section. That was very helpful, though I had more trouble getting the painting to look good than the actual carving. I carved the Jesus/Manger, Joseph, and then Mary. The results were good for a beginner such as myself. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
