    more from this reviewer

You'll love it so much you'll want to punch Howey in the mouth

That is, you'll want to punch him in the mouth IF you don't know that, yes, there will be a Wool 3. Knowing how fast Howey writes, he probably has Wool 3 - 179 already in draft form. And just for the record, Wool 2 is not a prequel--it takes place after the events described in Wool 1. Fans of Wool 1 will appreciate the return to this world and the opportunity to learn more about it; this is a fully realized and completely believable world (my eyes moved, but my calves hurt--you'll know what I mean when you read it). Fans of Wool 1 also will be treated to Howey's most compelling analogies and most beautiful writing yet. I give you this little gem, but rest assured, you'll find more: "She grieved for the first time in her life for the subsequent decades of solitude. What she had forever seen as her calling--this living apart and serving the greater good--now felt more a curse. Her life had been taken from her. Squeezed into pulp. The juice of her efforts and sacrificed years had dripped down through a silo that, just forty levels below her, hardly knew and barely cared." Yes, you will see more unsettling darkness in Wool 2, but you also will see bittersweet tenderness and be introduced to what may be Howey's most interesting protagonist yet. Bravo, Howey. I *loved* Wool 2. However, if I didn't believe there would be a Wool 3, I would punch you in the mouth. Twice. At least.

    Great twisty read

Great plotting, with a bit of pathos and intrigue in the mix. Quite compelling for a short read.

I don't know where all the 5 star reviews came from. Nothing happens in these books. I have read two books now, and nothing has happened! I will never buy another book by this author.
