Oh, the naivete of some
It amazes me how many people out there refuse to believe that there is faction of Islam that can be called 'Islamo-fascism.' However small, and certainly not to be linked with the vast majority of muslims, their objective is to eliminate the 'infidels.' They are anti-feminine, anti-gay rights, anti-modernism and anti-religious freedom. And their solution to these ideals: destruction. Remember the Taliban regime?? The Bush admin. may be arrogant (and naive, too) in their response to this Islamic faction, but make no mistake, none of you could walk down a street in Iraq or Afghan. controlled by these jihadists wearing your 'American clothes', cross around your neck, or holding the hand of someone of the same sex. Try it and see what happens. You wouldn't be heard from again. For liberals who preach 'equal rights,' its amazing you don't find their ideas appalling.

Very bad not to know things...
First of all there is no such thing as Islamofascism. It is either you are Muslim or not. It makes me very sad reading books and articles where they presume that Islam is a religion of Terrorism where everyone KNOWS it isn't. I recommend people really understand what they are trying to say.

Totally Pathetic Waste of Paper
Podhoretz is truly the one note band of the foreign affairs crowd and this little piece of garbage doesn't change any of it. While easy to read, a nice thing to do for his very literally challenged fans, it is a true waste of time and energy to even pick up.

Mirror, mirror on the wall. !!
Norman Podhoretz has a trained and observant mind. I agree with his diagnosis of the world's latest confrontation with unmitigated evil. This time driven by radical Islamists waging an unconventional war no less deadly in its methods of operation than the more conventional types of the 20th century. Born a few years after World War I, having lived through World War II in occupied Nazi territory, I spent most of my working life under the threat of the Cold War, correctly called World War III by the author. He is certainly logical and correct in designating the murderous intents and actions against the Western World, even prior to 9/11, as World War IV. By itself it might not be important what the current war is called, except that it is catching people's attention more and more which is crucial to understanding that Islamofascists declared war on us more than 10 years ago already yet few people noticed, including Mr. Bush's predecessor President. The author does a superb job of highlighting how an unconventional war can be successfully waged and how the religious fanaticism and its oil money is driving it. Leveraging the structural facilities of the West to Islamist's advantage demonstrates a thorough understanding of our western way of life, whereas we utterly fail to understand theirs. Our self-declared enemy receives a bonus every day operating in our country where most people still refuse to believe they have been infiltrated for years already. 9/11 was just the latest, but not the last of killer attacks, on our country. This book is a must read for every American with doubts about why President Bush decided to retaliate forcefully after 9/11. Refusing to look into the mirror of history could be our Western Civilization's downfall, sooner rather than later.

Scary stuff that America better get on board with!
Well organized arguments as well as historic references. This book really nails the argument for the absolute need to win in Iraq.
