Enough to get you going plus 150ish extra pages

I don't regret reading this but it seemed like the useful information it contained could have been effectively communicated in a pamphlet rather than a 162 page book. For instance, if you need detailed instructions to build a rectangular box out of plywood, I suspect you may not be the type of person who would be interested in vermiposting (composting with worms) to begin with.

Mary Appelhof's enthusiasm is apparent from start to finish and prevents the book from being painfully dry. Altogether, just like Let It Rot! does for composting, this book dispells the idea that vermiposting is some complicated science that requires dilligent human intervention. It's a really quick read and ultimately worth having if only for its discussions of vermiposting styles (labor intensive vs. minimal intervention), overview of worm types, and simple guidelines for sizing your worm composting operation.

Every Worm Keeper need this book!

Actually, I lost my first copy, and remembered how helpful this book was to me and my worms. I no longer keep worms, but my neighbor has just started in this most enjoyable hobby. I purchased this book just for her. Everyone needs to read this book before they start vermicomposting, and keep it handy for constant, repeated reference. So much information has been added since the original, first copy. Of all the worm books out there, this one's the best. Easy to understand and Funny, too!
