A writing book that brings together the best advice for freelancers
Writer For Hire is probably the best "how to" book for the freelancer at any stage of her or his career, but especially for the the beginner. James-Enger presents 101 "nuggets" of quality advice on the essential nuts and bolts of starting and maintaining a successful freelance business (marketing, time management, etc)and also deals with issues a neophyte might not anticipate, such as knowing when to part ways with a problem client and developing a diversified skill set which can offer additional income streams, such as editing, proofreading and public speaking. Writer For Hire is entertaining to read and a worthwhile investment in the career of any freelance writer.
