    Outstanding book for TRUE writers

When I saw the book I flipped through it and loved it. The design and the fact that it is an AmericanGirl book got me. In the beginning there is a quiz that helps you determine what type of writer you are. In the after pages there are lists of things you should keep handy, writing excercises that includes writing what you love and hate(which teaches you to write from the heart) a poetry excersice to express your anger, list of things you can write about, how to use your senses for poems, and so much more. The book includes excersices and tips for how to create a character and a plot. In the back there are ways to improve your reports for school, grammar and spelling help are also included. At the end of the book there are 7 double sided cards(which you can pull out) with 14 different writing ideas. They are unique and help spark your imagination! GREAT JOB AMERICANGIRL!

    An Excellent Guide

This is the book I pluck off the shelf when I have writer's block or I have an essay due. It's very engaging and brimming with helpful tips, colorful illustrations, 'Big Truths', and even a recipe for a good story! Tremendously useful. Writer + Writing Smarts = Better Writer!
