The Years it takes to read it are worth it!
It felt like attempting to read Tolkein with the unnecessary detail, but like Tolkein you really find yourself immersed in another world. It's focus is around women and how they come to terms with the way their lives have turned out; quiet acceptance. The internal dialouge is so unique and accurate that you start to wonder if it's the author or the character's thoughts. This is not Jane Austen's London, it's so much more.
