    Wonderfully Hilarious!

I have never before wanted to read any type of book about marriage, but this title caught my eye right away. It said in just a few words what marriiage is really about. It's all argue and compromise, and funny too! I found it very uplifting to read that another couple also suffers through the daily battle of marriage and all it entails. From Jeff's seemingly obsessive courtship, (never would have thought a guy was capable of being in an all-encompassing love with one girl for so long!) to Annabelle's flighty interest and lioness-like protection of her family. This book hit home and it was comforting to see that even through all the turmoil, love still exists. Even if it only surfaces for a second in the avalanche of daily life! I highly reccommend this book!

HYSTERICAL AND INFORMATIVE! A MUST READ FOR THOSE MARRIED OR ABOUT TO MARRY!

Excellent writing. Hysterically funny! Do you want the truth about marriage? This is the book that shows you what everyone else is afraid to admit. (I've been to 8 different marital therapists with my husband for 12 years so I'm more than qualified to talk about this book!) Written from a "his and her" perspective, the authors (married 12 years/1 child) allow us to see intimate details of their marriage: the ups and downs on raising a child, in-laws, sex, marital therapy, career, money, character flaws, illness, death, etc. Very intimate, brutally honest and extremely helpful to those interested in becoming one half of a partnership. They should make this book a "must read" for those Catholic Pre-Wedding (Pre-Cana) Classes couples have to take. I've read every self-help book on the market, from Dr. Phil to Harville Hendrix, and everyone else in between. Definitely buy this book if you want to know the real deal on marriage. Buy it if you want to laugh out loud.

    Good parts

There were some great parts.... and some where the two just came off snarky. For the most part I really liked it.

    Don't...

Unfunny, disturbingly inept at understanding the purpose of life.

Good story about a couple's journey

I love stories that help me know I am not alone in this world. This book shows what two people can create with a commitment to their relationship. I love their revealing, honest and funny way of story telling. Some parts are very funny.

    I Also Recommend:

    Pretty good read

I liked this book- I enjoyed reading it and it had some funny, throw away lines. I would certainly recommend it to be checked out from the library if you like funny, irreverent memoirs. However, some things were a little off putting, namely, how often they talked about their sex lives- I could care less- and how political some of the side comments were. They were so one sided. I felt like I needed to email them with cases of similar stories on the Democratic side, as well. However, I would recommend this book because it was a funny account of their marriage.
