Tired of searching for a winning diet? Just plain tired?

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend who knew I was tired of trying diet after diet and not feeling successful. "A Younger, Thinner You" was just what the doctor ordered. Dr. Braverman writes in a relaxed and informative manner that doesn't overwhelm you with medical lingo.

Within the first couple chapters of the book your presented with a test that determines your possible vitamin deficiencies. He then explains how these deficiencies make their presence known in your daily life. His description of my two major areas of lack were dead on. I took the book and headed right to the health food store. After two weeks of following his recommended plan, I'm down almost 10 pounds and have all but eliminated my cravings.

The only thing I would have liked was more information about the vitamins and supplements in regards to dosages. There's a lot of information out there and I had to search some things out on my own. His professional opinion would have been great.

I have followed this diet with my wife for 7 weeks. She has lost 13 pounds and I have lost 12 pounds. We both look and feel better.
I recommend this book if you want to eat better, feel better and look better.

    I Also Recommend:

This book will not deliver what the title implies for weight loss ease.

Although useful for a beginner to learn absolute basics about nutrition and how various factors affect what we weigh, this book does not go close to the real issues: how to reduce cholesterol and lipid numbers while dieting. This feels like a re-hash of a high protein diet, to me, which we clearly have learned is counter productive for one's heart and arteries. I like the author's enthousiasm and the outline of the book. Too bad it doesn't really deliver how to organize one's lifestyle to improve cholesterol, reduce potential for diabetes and heart disease. Frankly, one can loose weight with any diet if you deprive yourself of calories. The sections about reduce ageing, fighting disease, etc., I didn't find very useful.
