    I like it...I like it

Truth be told, I don't know what I was expecting when I ordered this book. I was prepared for another by-the-numbers financial book, but I was presently surprised.

Roth goes to great lengths to get his points across, and does a great job in explaining financial topics that are more obscure, such as CD Ladders. He also does something most other books lack; rather then just rehashing the same old topics, like how to get a free copy of your credit report, he shows the thought process behind making purchases and why they are wrong, then shows you how to make fiscally correct choices.

It's not a one stop shop for money advice, but that's where the book really shines. Roth's listing of sources for more information is extensive, ranging from government agency's to other money blogs, hundreds of web sites and more.

If you are stuck in the dark about your finances, give it a shot. It's not the only book you'll ever need for your money, but it comes close.

    IT'S ONLY MONEY!!!!!

Are you having a problem in being able to save money in these hard economic times? If you are like most of us, then this book is for you. Author J.D. Roth, has done an outstanding job of writing a book that shows you how deal with expenses, debt, taxes, and retirement without getting overwhelmed.

Roth, begins by showing you what you need to do to make sensible decisions on saving, spending, and investing. Next, the author explores the best ways to set and achieve financial goals. Then, he explains how to set up a realistic budget framework and learn how to track expenses. The author continues by showing you how to eliminate debt. Next, he covers some of the basics of how to use credit wisely. Then, he shows you how to make smart decisions on your home and other big-ticket items. The author continues by showing you how to get the most from your investments by avoiding rash decisions. Next, he presents various approaches on how to save for retirement. Then, the author presents many practical tips on how to save money. He continues by discussing ways to reduce recurring monthly expenses. Finally, the author gives you practical guidance, advice and sound insights into your personal-financial situation.

This most excellent book brings a true tong and cheek approach to financial stability. In other words, this book is a great consolidation of financial common sense wisdom that will benefit even the most accomplished financial novice.
