The book tells us a story about a human girl finding herself in the forest Zollocco. She goes through a lot of different endeavours trying to figure out what has happened, wondering if she will survive, what is going on on Earth and trying to remove herself from the inhumane zitam list. I really enjoyed the book, it had me almost crying at times (I was heartbroken for her losing Yartem out of a sudden like that. It looked like they would be a nice and happy couple.) There were quite a few funny moments - "They growled and hissed, etc. and made it clear they had been transported before and really didn't like it. Maybe they should eat me after all." - this part really made me laugh out loud :)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
What I liked:
The two different narrators at the same time - Zollocco and her - it was interesting to read in that format.
I like how at the start of the story the author showed how much better the human body feels when it eats real food instead of one from cans. The connection the body has with nature is wonderful.
Reading the letter to Jill in the FIRST INTERMEZZO part really got me excited, it was when the book started getting better and better for me, all the possibilities of her returning to Earth and saving it!
The other stories told like the ones from the troubadur - it was a very nice addition.
The name of the book - I love the sound of it! :D
I also did enjoy the fact that the purpose of the whole journey was to preserve the nature on one planet or another.
One thing I didn't quite like was that going from place to place all the time I felt a little bit lost at some point. Also most of the chapters were too long.
It was an interesting story and I am not sure if there is going to be a second book, but I'd like to know what happens with the Priestess and how she communicates with her niece, what happens after she joined the Realm of Circle? Did Earth survive, did she ever come back to tell her story?(if there isn't one I think the ending of this was a bit of a lackluster).
