Absolutely Amazing!

This series was by far one of the best zombie series I have read. Mark Tufo is an excellent author and I hope to see much more from him!

I'm generously giving this book 2 stars because the editing was decent in the first 50 pages. I can't speak for the rest of the book because I simply couldn't force myself to read it.

The first few paragraphs were almost enough to make me chuck it. The author wastes no time jumping right in to a full-blown zombie raid, and his characters miraculously know exactly what's happening. They are hard core zombie experts from the get-go. I tried to forgive that and keep reading, until I realized that I wanted every single one of the characters to die immediately. The author hasn't done anything to make these characters interesting. He did, however, make them all insufferable A-holes. What Tufo obviously thought was wit was just annoying self-talk. This book is the literary equal of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"... without the humour.

I love this book! I was laughing all the way through it, but sitting on the edge of my seat at the same time! A great book! I'll get the others for sure!

    Pretty good

This book was pretty good. The suspence was there and it almost felt like i was reading stephen king. The only thing i was not crazy about was how the hispanic characters are portrayed. Theyre always using the word gringo when reffering to talbot. I just think the author bought into some really old stereotypes. Other than that as a zombie enthusiast the book hits the mark with gore and thrills.

    more from this reviewer

    Highly Recommended

I have read a lot of Zombie books and this one makes sense. It flows nicely, with humor sarcasm, and believability.

    A great read.

I'm writing this from the point of view of someone who has read the first 3 books in Mr. Tufo's series. The first couple of chapters were hilarious and descriptive to me. The way Mr. Tufo described the family dynamic with his wife, kids and dog gave me a real sense of a modern sitcom family ala "Everybody Loves Raymond" caught in the middle of a zombie outbreak. There is plenty of gore to go around but the finale left me wanting more. There was a spot in the book where the character Mike Talbot starts to describe the smell and sights that truthfully left me ill when I started to imagine what he was describing. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in zombies novels.

    Great

I really enjoyed this series. The charactors are well developed and interesting, plus there is humor and suspense. If you like horror, survialism, and action- look no further!

    A must read!!!!

Totally awesome. I couldn't put it down. Had to find out what was going to happen. Thrilling, gruesome, intense and humorous in all the right spots. I have to get #2.
