A Collision

4.6 6
by David Crowder
The genre-busting third studio effort from David Crowder and company exceeded any kind of creative expectations following their RIAA-certified gold album Illuminate. Never one to be predictable, the worship leader from Waco, TX took a colossal risk by interjecting his group's trademark alternative rock with the seemingly at-odds flavor of bluegrass. One would

This CD is my personal favorite of the Band's collection. These are some of the best "in concert" songs as well. Don't miss a chance to see them live!

David Crowder continues his progression as a leading Christian artist: he is a lyricist, a musician and an author. His crossover appeal to non-Christians makes his music even more meaningful. He describes a beautiful collision as "When His Divinity meets our depravity it will be a beautiful collision". David Crowder's music reminds me of my own life on the edge of the precipice between spiritual life and death. I appreciate the David Crowder Band's participation in Passion's ministry to college students. I'm a mid-40's parent of 5 kids (and I've never been a rock-n-roller) --the appeal of David Crowder is that his music is fresh and genuine.

I bought this CD the first day it came out expecting it to be average. I thought there was no way DC could match their earlier releases. I was wrong. Their sound in this one is a little different than previous releases, but certainly isn't a step back. But it's not as good as "all i can say" which is by far the best CD I've ever heard. It's an independent release, but if you can find it you won't be dissapointed.

This CD is pretty hot. I love it and my youth group loves it. We LOVE David Crowder - my best friend has even met him (apparently he's quite skinny). I just got this CD - I am just warming up to it. I love "I Saw the Light", "We win!", and "Foreverandever Etc". I have his other CD (Illuminate) and I love it. I will probably soon be getting his, "Can you hear us?"
