I was looking forward to learning some thoughts from an early philosopher. I quickly became disappointed when I discovered that this man's views on life are almost seen as a religion. Plus the book stated in the introduction that the book was not written for anyone new to Epicurius.

The guy who inspired the cuisine-ish term ' Epucurian' ...a lover of fine food, fine wine, fine...well you get the picture. He was rumored to be at odds with the less voluptuary Stoics.
