I've read the series many times, and this soundtrack doesn't do it justice. No offense Robert Berry, but the attempt at &quot epicness&quot was just wrong, especially given the names of the songs. There was also very little to differentiate songs that should have had numerous differences. The voyage of the seafolk mainly. I appreciate the effort, but this album is not representative of the series.

Im not saying that the music sucks, because it doesnt. Its really good in fact, but to me, it doesnt seem like it fits with the book. I was expecting something more like the LOTR soundtrack, with a small orchestra, etc...

I've read and re-read the series time and time again. I concur with the fellow above--this music, I feel, just doesn't capture the adventurousness of the Wheel of Time series. I, too, was expecting a more symphonic sound; a single male vocalist plucking a few guitar strings just doesn't make me envision our heros running from Trollocs and wielding the Power.

The whole thing just didnt turn out right, there was not the right instraments, i wanted a good soundtrack that fit with the book. but the songs did not mach the topics. the books are just soo much better and deserve a better soundtrack.

I would have to say that after listening to the selections, I was upset. It is not that the music was bad but, more like the music was wrong for this particular idea. I think the music presents the image of the books as childish and cartoon-like. I felt as if I could have enjoyed it more if I did not feel like I was a child when listening to it. I have read the books and Jordan is my favorite author and I do not believe this music gives his work justice. However, the thing I did like about it was the first song. That was the only song that I thought had a chance.

I'm a big Wheel of Time fan, so I'm slightly biased, but I love this music (much of it is from the video game). It's a very gentle rock, no lyrics, slightly new age, with a Celtic sound. Very, very beautiful and relaxing to listen to.
