With some beautiful images, you get a sense of the larger than life work of Rothko. This artist sought to bring out the internal inspiration onto the canvas. To delve into the inner demons we all see and splash them onto his master pieces. This book is a good start to peek into a complex man who pushed the envelope. He could be gregarious and engaging one minute and a recluse the next. Ashton shares her first hand relationship which gives this book a colorful peek into an artist’s life.
