Colin MacIntyre had an orderly but exciting life as a NASA astronaut. But then he is kidnapped by an ancient, self-aware starship; drafted as its captain to suppress a 5,000-year-old mutiny; and forced to declare himself Governor of Earth in order to mobilize the planet against alien attack. And that's the easy part. . . .

I read this book after searching for a book with good space battles. This book did not disappoint. The author writes in a way that pulls the reader into the struggle of the characters. The space battles were engaging without being technical. The book even has a little bit of a twist ending, and a few heart felt moments. I would highly recommend this book to someone looking for a book with action, and some strategy.

This is a good book for mindless day, it was rather predictable. It was well written and interesting but it was predictable.

The Armageddon Inheritance takes you through an exciting, fast paced world of Colin MacIntrye with the incredible technology of a 50,000 year old self aware ship that is just now learning humor. Alien destruction and human treachery keep you on your toes the whole way, but what's even better is that it's only the first of a trilogy!!

This book has to be one of my favorites. It grips you with excitement from page one and keeps you going thru to the end. It also fits everything together without unexplained events dangling around to tease you. Everything fits into the book universe quite nicely. If you enjoy Sci-Fi with action and discovery you will enjoy this book. I recommend it very highly as a must read.
