I picked this book up because the back cover sounded interesting and I found it on sale for only $5.00. I must say that I'm extremely glad that I did because it is an excellent read. Wood does a wonderful job with each of her different characters that comes into contact with the blue stone. Each story is uniquely different and drew me in, wanting to know more and how had the blue stone come into their lives. I would recommend this book highly.

There was quite a jump from primitive humans who did not believe that spirits caused problems and people that did. Maybe no one knows how this developed. I was a good read otherwise.

I picked this up to bring to the beach....it's Michener with a feminist twist! If you love historical fiction you will love going places and periods with this book!

This unique story is a great read, although not for someone looking for lots of action. Barbara Wood created wonderful characters; I was sad when each section ended because I was so interested in that character's life. I definitely recommend this book!
