This is the first book in a new series, Bodyguards Inc, which starts off with Adam, bodyguard extraordinaire, who accepts a 'Pretty Boy' job - looking after a celebrity. The celebrity in question is Logan - bad boy vampire in the TV show Night Cop - who has been receiving threatening letters. Logan has a fake girlfriend (who is also his best friend), but she wants to marry her love. All of which means Logan has decisions to make regarding his personal life, all whilst being under threat from his stalker. This is a wonderful story with a full-bodied story and an amazing cast of characters. The supporting cast is just as good and I am certainly hoping that they at least feature in cameos in future books, even if they don't get their own. I loved how R.J. Scott was able to bring insta-love (which I hate) into the story and yet still make it a slow-burner. Now that impressed me! Very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I could see, this was a heart-warming first book that has definitely opened the floor for more from this group of characters. Definitely recommended by me. Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

One hot bodyguard + one hot actor = happy reader. Bodyguard to a Sex God is the first book in the Bodyguards, Inc. series but it is also a standalone book with no cliffhanger. It’s the first book I’ve read by RJ Scott and I liked it a lot. This story has a good blend of romance and suspense. Adam Freeman has been hired as a bodyguard for popular actor, Logan Brady, while he attends a fan convention in London. This is not his favorite type of gig at all; ”…dealing with celebrities who had more money than sense all because they epitomized ‘star’ was his idea of hell.” Logan has been receiving threats and strange objects left in his trailer on set. His production company wants him to be protected while he’s out of the US and people who normally accompany him are not available. Logan is “in the closet” because he’s afraid that if he comes out his fans will abandon him. Adam is not attracted to his clients – until he meets Logan – but Logan has a girlfriend, or does he? I was intrigued by the story line and the setting at a science fiction fan convention. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to attend one and the behind the scenes glimpse we get in this book was interesting. Throw in the sexy time between Adam and Logan, the threat to Logan and the crazy fans and I didn’t want to put this one down until I finished it. RJ Scott did a great job of keeping me guessing who the bad guy was going to be. This story wasn’t deep reading material but for a novella length book it was very satisfying – especially if you’re not in the mood to read something that might take several days to finish. I’m looking forward to reading more of the books in this series. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****

Another great series by Miss Scott. Even though each story is a standalone with the exception of characters being mentioned in passing or cameos, I'm writing an overall series review and each book easily deserves a 5 bookmark rating. Many of us have some kind of bodyguard fantasy and with Bodyguards, Inc the reader gets a peak into the life of the occupation. Each book has a little bit of everything, mystery, intrigue, drama, love, with definite levels of hotness throughout. You might be thinking that what you have here is the Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston movie Bodyguard with a gay twist, the truth is there are some similar elements but really, this series has so much more depth and appeal with every page. Some say that relationships that are born during times of crisis and danger are not always everlasting but I think relationships, be it friends or lovers, can be built at any time and in these tales the author shows us how true it can really be.

As with all of RJ Scott’s stories, I simply fell in love with this one right away. The easy banter between Adam and his work colleagues, the way Adam and Logan made a connection but try to fight it. All the guessing and second guessing about who the stalker is and then seeing the vulnerability of not just Logan but of Adam as well, made for a great lazy afternoon read in the pool. I especially loved the double twist at the end. I thought it was great how Logan was surrounded by friends not just work colleagues and when was time to make some life changing decisions those friends stood by him. I even felt the HEA was good, both characters having lives ‘across the pond’ and giving us an epilogue that explains how they are working that out was a great touch. The reason it’s not a five – The only other series, work’s I’ve read by this author is her Texas one and it always amazed me how during that one she never slipped up and used an English word or phrase. It’s the opposite in this one, I expected her to fall back on her up bringing and felt the missing English undercurrent lacking throughout the story. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews
