I previously read her second novel "Asunder" and loved her beautiful writing style. This book is also extremely well written. Her observations are often witty and her description of Berlin is excellent.

I recently came across this novel in my local bookshop and was really impressed. The description on the back doesn't quite capture its kaleidoscopic breadth and the strange illusoriness of its chapters... There are so many layers, I don't think I grasped them all, but I certainly read closely enough to see that this is a rather exceptional debut, written with a quiet, wise and refined voice.
