Murder's on the menu in this savory debut.

Gwen (nee Katz) Silver heard the brisket at her uncle's Jewish deli, Murray the Pastrami Swami—the only one of its kind in Nashville, Tennessee—was "to die for." But she didn't realize that meant literally. . .

When Gwen learns she's inherited Murray's, the native New Yorker leaves her chaotic career

Loved the inside joke of "Nashville Katz". I won't bore you with a synopsis - you can get that elsewhere. Lots of fun and some quirky characters. Okay as a first in series -- hope for more in the 2nd. I enjoy mysteries with recipes and cats and this had both (although the cats are in name only). Maybe I just liked it because I use to live in Nashville. Read it in one day. I think the series has promise.

What could be funnier than placing a true NY Jewish deli in the deep South? Probably lots of stuff but for me - a former New Yorker living in the South - it brought plenty of giggles. A nice little mystery that was painless to get through. I enjoyed it a lot!
