The book is about Chester, a cat, who is trying to write a story. Melanie and a mouse are trying to help him but he doesn't want to. The book is very funny and is for everyone, specially 5 and 6 years old. Chester is one of my favorite characters, he is super funny. DG

Chester is a favorite of ours. The first "Chester" book ranks most highly with my crew, but they like this one second best and "Chester's Back" third. Ten year olds still think Chester is funny. Even though they feel they are too old for picture books, Chester remains a favorite.

The illustrations were cute but the layout of this book is terrible. The overall idea is creative but this should've been edited a different way. I would never buy this book. We got it from the library and my husband and I both dreaded having to read it to our daughter. I would not recommend.
