Even though I was irritated by the constant spelling and contextual errors throughout the first book, I still bought and read the second one. This alone would tell those that know me that the tale itself was worthwhile, as I proofread and transcribe for a living! This second book was just as good in the concept and story as the first, but also just as frustrating in the contextual spelling errors. This author has great potential and excellent story ideas! I am looking forward to reading the continuation of the series simply because of the story itself. . .even though I expect to grit my teeth through the undoubtedly numerous errors it will contain.

Solstice is cut off in his efforts as Spirit comes from seemingly nowhere. To avoid giving him time to hurt Lavamist, Spiritnight dropped from a tree to knock the breath from the tom, and then with his neck in his jaws Spirit ripped him from on top of Lavamist. The son and father are sent tumbling off in a frenzie of claws and threatening snarls, but it doesn't last long. Solstice lands a blow on Spirit's neck but the younger tom hurls himself forward, sending them both rushing backwards until Spirit manages to shove the stronger tom into a hidden bear trap, left by the twolegs. Every Ice Claw knew where each trap lay and often used them to thier advantage during war. But Solstice had forgotten in the moment and now lay crumpled over in pain as metal teeth dredged into his bone. "Run," Spirit says harshly back to Lavamist, rushing her away from the bloody scene and into a blackberry thicket. He doesn't appear happy to see her, or hardly recognize her for that matter. "What are you doing here? Did he hurt you?" He asks, looking her over for wounds. He couldn't take her to his home to be treated, and anything serious might not make it to Horseclan. "You...you shouldn't be here." ~Spirit (you can reply at the first result :) Have a fun day!)

This story I like cause Violet did a lot of growing and accepting her new life. Plus she has new and endearing friends to help her along the way.
