This was a fun read and it starts out with vivid imagery. I bought this book months ago (paperback and kindle), and I finally got to it while in the lobby of a math center where I take my kids, after school. I was transported away right from the beginning of this book -- as in I forgot I was in the lobby of the math center. Nice! Another thing about this book is the cultural diversity in the cast of characters. It's truly a testament to creativity, originality. Think of writers like Arthur Golden, or Kathryn Stockett...I'm not saying this author writes like them, but what I am saying is that when I read a lot of books in a particular genre, I see the same types over and over again, or I see stereotypes, but not in this book (thank God!). It was refreshing.  There is an interesting plot twist (won't spoil it for you) and overall I love the way romance is portrayed in the book.
