Great book, and it was on clearance! It's obviously not something you pick up and read from cover to cover, but it is entertaining!

This is an excellent gift for someone who has everything. If someone has followed the cartoons through the years in the New Yorker Magazine, it is a "must have". It is clever and funny, and there are cartoons for every occasion and situation. It is a hugh "coffee table" book and it is a great conversation piece. Definitely a five-star purchase!

I looked forward to recapturing some of the "magic" of the New Yorker which I read for many years. I jumped ship when Tina Brown became Editor and converted a great magazine into a gossip and celebrity oriented rag with a deemphasis on the quality fiction that was it's hallmark. Even a change of Editorship has not brought the New Yorker back to what I wanted. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this book which contains a sample of many of the Cartoons I treasured. My major disappointment was that the majority of Cartoons are on a DVD-ROM disk which requires a drive not found on the majority of personal computers despite the claim on the book cover. The warning was inadequate and evaded my detection. The good news is that I bought it at a heavily discounted price of $20 from Barnes and Noble and with my Member's Discount and an additional 15% Coupon it was truly a bargain.
