Yes i am a calvinist, but i have to say that while i like some of what dave hunt does on his radio show,i think we was totally outclassed.hunt could never stay on topic.ive seen him do the same thing in a debate with joseph pipa.the man jumps around so much and never really answers the tough questions.see dr whites audio debates with micheal brown for a better defense of the arminian position.God-bless!

As viewers flock to see the Passion of Christ, the question will arise in some minds, 'Who was saved at the cross?' Did Christ die for all or only for the elect? This question sums up the debate over the doctrine of predestination in the Christian church. While Augustine is often credited with deriving this doctrine from scripture, Calvin is the most closely associated theologian with it. The idea that God chooses who is saved and who is not is either repugnant or a measure of His Kingship to believers. ........................ Mr White affirms and defends Calvin's TULIP (Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistable Grace, and Perserverance of the Saints) while Mr Hunt denies and refutes it. If either side were presented on its own, the reader would undoubtedly be convinced of the particular author's position. Presented together by two able theologians, the reader comes away knowing each position thoroughly. However, he or she will have to conclude that this is one of the mysteries of faith known only by God. ...................... **** If you were one of the listeners who heard the live debate presented over two December days on the Bible Answer Man show, then this book will give you a more in depth look at the conversation. However, even if you missed it, this will be a fascinating read for serious students. ****
