I read and loved "The Strain" which was co written by Hogan. I was excited to see he had a new book out. Devils in Exile is one of the better books I've read in a long time. I know it's so cliché but I couldn't put it down. This is not a "BOOK CLUB" book. You won't be asking yourself if Neal is meant to represent the new post war soldiers in America. This is a guy book.... Well written, gets right into the story, good action, great character development, interesting plot, fast moving and even a little love story. Nice writing Mr Hogan. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

This book was a great read from beginning to end. I enjoyed how each caharacter could play off another character. Once I began to read I could not wait to pick it up the next day. The author does an excellent job taking the subject of our military men and how coming home and life after a war effects them. He then plays on this to make a increbiable plot. I can not wait to read more by Chuck Hogan.

If you enjoyed the movie The Town you will enjoy this book. I have read Lee Child's jack reacher series and this book blew that away

I thought this was going to be just another action novel but as it turned out the characters make the book. I also particularly enjoyed the fact that it was set in Boston. Having been to many of the areas he talks about brings it to life. Boston actually becomes a character more than a setting just as it does in "The Town", another great book by Hogan. I would definitely read other books by Hogan. I would recommend it to action junkies as well as someone who wants to dig a little deeper into the characters themselves. However, not sure this would make a good book club discussion book.
