On a beautiful summer day a young girl sets up a lemonade stand and sells enough cups of refreshment to add up to a dollar.  Told in rhyme, this delightful story combines the teaching of addition with a traditional rite of childhood entrepreneurship!

In this book Penny sells lemonade in order to earn some money. This story teached kids the value of currency along with being a book they can read themselves. I have been looking for a book that my daughter, who is in kindergarten, could read on her own. She enjoyed this book very much. She was able to read it on her own by sounding the words out. She immedialtely want to take it to school to show her teacher she could read a book. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to help there children develop their reading skills!
