I've never seen it before nor have I read the book. So when I seen it for the first time I was addicted to it I wanted to see what would happen next, then I got to the end where she is choosing between the rev. and the doc. sorry forgot their names but if you seen it before you know who I'm taking about anyways though It ended with her still needing to pick who she wants to be with, VERY Disappointing ended I thought. Otherwise though it was good. Hope to find the rest somewhere.

I have been waiting for this series to come to DVD. I bought the VHS several years ago and have watched the series many times. As a teacher, it really inspires me and I love the stories - they are engaging and uplifting. The story concerns a young girl about turn of the century who travels to an area virtually untouched by modernization. She grows and changes as she seeks to help the people of the cove. I really recommend this. They do not however, completely follow the book. But they stand on their own as wonderful stories.

Like the first reviewer, I have been waiting a long time for this series to come to DVD and have deeply enjoyed all that it contains, but am SO disappointed that it is not "complete", as is promised on the package. I've read the book, I know how the story ends, and this "complete" series doesn't end...it leaves one hanging miserably, knowing the end of the story is not included in this series. I know there is another version of the story on video, but it is lacking in many ways. Is there another disc, perhaps missing from the package by mistake? I hope so!
