The Highlander franchise grows all the more with Highlander: The Search for Vengeance. This is an anime that is definitely worth checking out, we are introduced to a new Highlander in Colin MacLeod, an Immortal who cannot die unless his head is removed from his body. The action was far superior and with anime you can pull off anything that you can dream of. This film stuck closely to the Highlander mythos of There Can Be Only One. This is an anime where the filmmakers had done their homework with Highlander. The swordplay in this was very good, the way the Quickenings were done were a nice little addition of what makes this a visual masterpiece. Just like the movies there is a great deal of violence and nudity, therefore this film is definitely not for a younger audience. Fans of the original Highlander and the television series will have a blast with this one. I rate this five stars, this is truly an excellent movie and should be watched by anyone who is a fan of Highlander or not a fan, this film is really good.
