This has all the actors and actresses that were famous then and sorta now with a very young Jackie Chan. This is about a race to California and the prize is money where you have all sorts of people competing leaving a lot of comedic moments.

This movie's ultimate significance is that Jackie Chan got the idea to show out-takes during his films' credits from it (according to Jackie's autobiography). Ironically, in this movie it's mostly flubbed lines that they show -- in Jackie Chan's films, outtakes usually include flubbed stunts, which are often funny, sometimes harrowing. He has done this in every film he's made since appearing in this one; it's become a Jackie Chan signature. Of course, Jackie is not used to his full effect in Cannonball, but it's fun anyway. At least he gets to save the day at the end.

I remembered this movie being really funny. But it's not. It's stupid.
