The beauty of this film is the superb cast that is able to give the perfect performance for a Tarantino script. Especially the British Gary Oldman who is marvelous in an over-the-top performance.

I LOVE THIS FILM, THE SCENE WITH DENNIS HOPPER AND CHRISTOPHER WALKEN RIGHT BEFORE HE SHOOTS HIM IS GREAT. TALK ABOUT HAVING A BRASS PAIR!

I don't really know what's so endearing about this movie, Slaters laid back style or Arquettes depth of character... One thing's for sure, you'll watch the movie over and over again. Its one of those movies that you just don't want to end (like Pulp Fiction for me). I can honestly say that its as fresh the first time you watch it as it is the 20th. Now that's what I call a good movie!

With a cast that includes Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt and especially written by legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, True Romance stands above and beyond most of the films of the 90's. When shy Clarence meets his call-girl wife Alabama, they decide to leave their old life behind. However, first he must right some wrongs involving drug-dealer/pimp played by Gary Oldman. This, of course, doesn't go as planned and they go on the run to California with a suitcase full of drugs. While Director Tony Scott's view does the film justice, the stand out element is the witty dialogue. The screenplay produced by Tarantino is virtually unmatched. Another important point, is the way the actors effortlessly flow off one another, simply adding to its authenticity. This movie should definetly be part of your collection.

This film has it all. It has sex, drugs, violence, romance, and a killer score. Christian Slater, who plays the main character Clarence, pulls off the very best performance of his career, and Patricia Arquette who plays Alabama, the hooker with a heart of gold, was worthy of an Academy Award. The cast, which includes film greats Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, and Brad Pitt, speaks for itself. One of the greatest tough guy scenes of all time occurs between Hopper, who plays Clarence's father, and Walken, the gangster chasing after the newlyweds Clarence and Alabama. The dialogue in that scene is darkly hilarious and is without question one of the finest moments in film history. Another hghlight of film is the hotel room scene between Alabama and one of the gangsters chasing them. By the end of the graphically violent scene, you want to take the shotgun from Alabama's bloody hands and shake it over your head as well. This underrated film is the best thing to happen to the love story since Bonnie and Clyde. A definite must see, and a cult classic.
