Last Fall as part of my "Starting School" Storytimes, I read this book in honor of the parents - many of whom were going through the experience of leaving their children at school the first time. They really seemed to appreciate the message of the story, which was entertaining enough for the kids to enjoy, too. The pictures are bright and the text is short and straightforward enough to engage a late toddler/preschool audience.

My daughter loves this book and loves to hear it over and over again. Plus it's fun for a parent to read/sing!

I have been reading this book to my son since he was about 2 month's old. It is the only book he will pay total attention to even if I read it to him twice!
