An excellent book filled with great advice, and also many funny and interesting stories from the author's experiences on the water. These make it an easy and enjoyable read. A nice gift idea for both novice and experienced fly fishermen.

What a great book! I gifted this to a dear friend who is a fly fisherman. He couldn't thank me enough. He raved about what an easy read it was- told me even an "old dog like me learned some new tricks!" Next thing you know, he'll ask me to go fishing with him ...

What a great book! It may be about dry flies and all, but it's sure not dry. Interesting, easy to read, funny ... but most of all USEFUL. Now when I fish, I'm warmer, drier, less frustrated by gnats and more sure of foot on slippery rocks. Great advice on choosing everything from waders to rods. And super "do it yourself" retroffiting tips -- loved how to keep your clippers handy and make your own portable wading staff from a Swiffer. Best of all, I'm catching more fish thanks to tips in this book. I find myself browsing through it over and over, picking up a tip on nymph fishing here, a tip on casting there ... and I've been fishing for years. I'd recommend this book as a gift, a manual, a must have for anyone who's just becoming a fly fisherman, or to old timers (like the author himself!).
