This is a short story, which I didn't recall it saying in the description of the book. So that was the first disappointment. But the author didn't explain exactly what was going on it the first chapter and even some of the latter part. It is vital that in a short story that the author shows or tells us what the plot is about. She did not, while the story could have been good a few more pages certainly wouldn't have hurt to better explain the story.

I don't mind short stories . I mind if they are neglected . It's hard to believe that this is love match between the Highland Duke and Earl's daughter . So many interesting details, calling to create a good historical romance, had been mentioned but not realized . And forgive me if I'm wrong, is there any chance to see more creative covers instead of dozens of muscular torso with tattoos ? I found this book while looking for continuation of the Brandywine by Jackie Ivie. I definitely recommend to read Brandywine . The book is disputable . Nevertheless it will keep you intrigued and involved in development of characters and relationships. (Surprise: nice cover.) G.K.

Rather short; ending was a bit lame Characters and dialogue felt a bit awkward, kind of misplaced Glad I only paid 99 cents for it

Could not put this short story down. It captivated my interest from start to finish. I would definately recommend this book plus more of Jackie Ivie's books.
