Don't buy this book. I got the book once I started reading I encountered a few errors ( In the first 5 pages REALLY? COMMON) It said there was a missing directory so I couldn't figure out how to fix that ( nothing tells you about that in the book ) After I tried to figure out how to fix that I decided that I should restart the program, That didn't help either . That's when it started to show its true colors It soon tould me that "Your free trial has expired" After 5 minutes of using this program? Whaaat? That was my first thought, so I tried to figure out the problem, sounds like a ton of other people are having the same problem, NOW I have to wait another weekend to get another book shipped to me all because of this book, this book has a bunch of errors, Maybe because its pretty old and a lot of stuff has been updated or something else, I would advise you to stay clear.

I bought this book for my daughter, and she was really excited about it. However, once the 30 day trial period ended, she was no longer able to continue the learning process without spending an additional $80. This was intended as a hobby for her, and i'm not interested in spending $120 for a hobby, especially when it's very possible that she'll quickly lose interest and never pick up the book again. The book does not forewarn you that once the trial period ends, you will no longer be able to use the product at all. There are some trial versions that only limit how much you can do with a program. BlitzMax is not that type of trial version. That distinction should be made.
