GET BENT (Hard Rock Roots #2) - A Dark, Dirty Rocker Romance

WARNING: This book pushes the boundaries of drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll. It has a bad boy hero with a twisted smirk and a wicked swagger, but don't read on unless you want to see him hook up with a bada** alpha female that can match him blow for blow--onstage ... and in the bedroom.

Thankfully this was less a cliff hanger than "Real Ugly" - still might have been better to wait and start reading only after the Final installment was available. Series' are so much more enjoyable when read back-to-back!

3/3.5 Scandulous Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll Stars!! "I'm making this pledge out of love, stupid or not, because without that, there ain't nothing in this world worth living for." Get Bent picks up exactly where Real Ugly left off. This hardcore nitty gritty story of Turner and Naomi's love/hate relationship is fascinating to read. You get sucked into their web of lies, deceit, and redemption. But the most intriguing part is the chemistry between Turner & Naomi. Their tumulteous relationship is unlike any other, and ultimately this is what keeps us at the edge of our seat. But this is more than your unconventional rock star romance book. This is so much more, its beyond the rock n roll, sex and drugs which is the main theme here but its also incorporates other elements such as Who dunnit mystery?, Along with the raw, intense relationship which consist of Turner & Naomi, we also get snippets of vulnerable moments. Naomi Knox has this....this something inside her that made me think of puppies and kitty cats. I want to kiss her face off and make babies with her, and she is the only damn woman on this earth that I would give the title of Mrs. Turner Campbell to. All in all, this is a fast paced, edge of your seat read, that will leave you wanting more of Turner & Naomi. Long live the King, & Queen of Rock n Roll.

C.M. Stunich Get Bent Hard Rock Roots #2 Compared to Real Ugly this book seemed a little tamer, but that could just be because I had completely got used to the writers style by the time I started reading it. This book was a complete surprise, and I had no idea where the story was leading, but was happy to go along for the ride and just went with it as Turner searched for Naomi. As with Real Ugly, I was completely engrossed from start to finish, and although this book ended in a much better place, I’m still looking forward to the next instalment and hopefully getting some answers about who is behind it all.

I don't know what it is about this author, but I like her raw writing style. You definately need to read real ugly first before this. I really like Turner...talk about redeeming oneself! Naomi is a strong female lead... refreshing. This series feels like real authentic rock & roll story & language, not like alot of the bubble gum, juvenile dialogue in a lot of the other r&r stories. Can't wait for the next book (hopefully a conclusion?)
