I have read about these techniques in other books, so I don't agree that this is a new form of therapy. However, I did find the book remarkably well written with excellent examples that help to make the information stick.

While having access to a therapist is better than not, this book is still packed with great tools and can be used without a therapist. Highy recommended!

This is a great book but must be used in conjunction with a trained therapist who understands and has been trained in how to use this method of therapy. It is NOT for anyone to just pick off the shelf and use. It is NOT a self-help book. It works extremely well in conjunction with Dr. Yapko's CD series which includes some hypnosis tracks - but again, not without the guidance and therapy sessions with a well-trained therapist.
