Giraffes: Long-Necked Wonders

4.1 9
by Caitlind Alexander

The giraffe is that tallest animal alive today. A male giraffe can grow to be over 18 feet (5.5 metres) tall. That's taller than a two-story house!
Giraffes look a bit like a horse with a stretched out neck and stretched out legs. They have long skinny legs and a very long neck.
Their front legs are longer than their back legs. That is why their backs slope

I am nuts about giraffes! Those little birds that are always on giraffes are called yellow beaked oxpeckers. Giraffes used to live in Europe & Asia. Reticulated Nubian giraffes bare my favorite.

My friend climbed a tree and squirrels attacked him with acorns. That's the last I saw of him.
