The hero is a Count, a Vietnam vet, a champion equestrian, and a hot shot-bad boy Hollywood director who's indirectly connected to assassins/terrorists. It's like 5 or 6 (BAD) books in one...but, wait, there's more: this bad boy who cuts his own hair and drives barefoot has a heart and a weak spot for his long-lost love, whom he repeatedly calls Honeybear (yuck!). Honeybear is apparently the mother of his child, whom he learns about after almost 10 years. She, too, has a nickname--Pooh. Really, do I have to say more?

I truly enjoy this author and loved Hot Legs. However, the cloying nickname and often hard to believe twists and turns veered off the path of the central characters real story of finding each other again. Enjoyable was some of the trademark humor present in all of Ms. Johnson's books.

The story had a good premise.. and set up... it was just well a little too unrealistic ...yeah I know it was Romance... but they get together the same night after 10 years and the next day and the hero realises that her daughter is his the day after..she never knew.. then in the next breathe she says she should have realize the remarkable Resemblance !! It is an Okay book to past time on the beach.. but not if u want a plausible and sensibe romance story .. too over the top.. and the 'Honeybear' nickname became annoying very quickly

I just loved this book!!! It had everything: romance, action, suspence and I did say romance! And the characters, you could do nothing but fall in love with them yourself! This book had all the glaze of a historical romance with a modern day setting you could not ask for more! Susan Johnson has outdone herself with this one!! There has to be a sequel to this.
