It is not necessary to be a political conservative simply based on religious beliefs alone. Olson debunks the theory oft held by modern society that all evangelicals are equated to the conservative political arena and explains that it is possible to follow Jesus' teachings without shunning and damning others to Hell for changing from the old ways, even pointing out that the evangelical movement is in and of itself ever-evolving and growing.
