Each time I pick up a piece of Atwood’s work I come to love her writing more and more.  We’ve come to know her for her approachable style and wild imagination, but this is oh, so much more.  She mingles suspense with sexual tension in a manner seldom seen.  Her vivid descriptions put you firmly in the realm inhabited by her captivating characters.  I was also floored at the way that she works real world issues into this unforgettable futuristic tale.  Atwood creates the type of characters that you instinctively connect with and want to see succeed without having to know them very well. I fell in love with Lexy the moment she wanted to prove herself, even though she had nothing to prove.  I also enjoyed the fact that the cast wasn’t entirely human.  Both futuristic beings and mythical ones join their human counterparts to create an immensely enjoyable whole.   As a whole, this novella was fun, exciting, and out of this world, both literally and figuratively.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone & can’t wait to read the 3rd novella in the trilogy.  Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Author Ali Atwood has done it again! As the second entries The Huntress Chronicles series, Huntress at Large is just as good if not better than the first. It has the right combination of action, intrigue and sexual heat.  I love how the cover has a Lara Croft feel to it. It definitely gave me a mental picture of Lexine being this touch sexy chick. Without sounding to sexist, Blane is just yum on a stick. Together they are a dynamite team. My favorite part in the book is when they team up on Glory Dome. I probably should have been snickering on what their ‘undercover’ ended up taking them but it was too precious of a moment not to. The secondary characters are the MC from the first book and it’s great to get a glimpse of how they life is fairing. The further into this series I get the more I feel this is a Sci-Fi romance and less a PNR which makes this a refreshing change for me. Sometimes Sci-Fi novels can get bogged down in too much technology but while there is some tech talk, it does not overwhelm the plot. Anyone who is looking for a switch from PNR, will not be disappointed with Huntress at Large. I can’t wait to read the next in the series! I received this book from the author for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated. Stars – 4 Flames - 3

Great Book!! This is a great book, it is the second book in the Huntress Series and picks up 6 years after the first. The books in the series can be read as a stand alone but they are better if you read them together. The main character is Lex and she is a bounty hunter and teams up with sexy Blane to save a child. This book has it all suspense, paranormal and steamy romance. The steamy parts are well written with just the right balance to make you enjoy the book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.  A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This book is the second in the Huntress series. And each book so far has been amazing. Huntress at large is about Lex, 6 years older than the first book, all grown up and works as a bounty hunter. She is tormented by her time and past with a certain hunky freelancer. Ms. Atwood did a wonderful job of telling the past and the present of their time together. I must say the escapades on the Glory Dome were a fascinating, nail biting and super sexy. Want to know what happens, pick up the book. You won’t be disappointed with this series. The second book could stand alone, but is much better when reading in order. Kat is playing matchmaker and it is cute. I like that they were included in the book, and we were told how things panned out for them a little over the last 6 years. Be warned there are some tastefully written steamy scenes and language. As I have found with the first in the series they are well written and just the right balance. This series is soon becoming one of my favorites. This book was given to me for an honest review.
