My third grader loves this book. Her teacher recommended it as a Christmas gift. She keeps one in her classroom, and it occupies the child's imagination for a long time. Although there's not much text, it encourages discussion and thinking.
Both of my boys have brought this book home from the school library, and from the looks and condition of it, so have many others. It is a well-loved book! The kids enjoy the illustrations and interacting with the book by flipping the flaps to change what they see. This book is an interesting, fun, more mature take on the lift-the-flap books they loved as younger children!
