I read this book when oldest child was in a senior in high school. Since then, I've been giving it as a gift to friends as they prepare to send one of their children off too. It takes you through the emotional journey that both you and your child will go through leading up to their departure & the years that they are away.

I enjoyed the book.  It described what to expect throughout your child's college years.  I was hoping for information on how to survive my  child's college years.  Advice on the best way to "let go" but really didn't find much.  Again, a good read but not quite what I was expecting.

A must read for parents of high school students who are planning for college. Much of the information is difficult if you are in denial about your child growing up and leaving the nest. Parents need to know that a child graduating from college is evidence of their love and support. Even if much tears are shed with letting them go.
