Each sentence is full of description. Once you get used to her writing style, you won't be able to put it down. Mothers and or veterans will especially be touched by this novel.

This is a great book. Every sentence has amazing detail. The opening is important for events that happen later on. I actually felt like I was witnessing the events and I felt what Lily felt. EXCELLENT BOOK! Great first book for a new author, looking forward to others. Highly recommended!!

I read this book but really wanted to put it down. I kept reading it hoping it would get better and it would have a good ending. It didnt get better and the ending left you hanging. Don't waste your time.

While reading this book, the author's description of what the Vietnam War did to her psyche was very well written . I felt her pain and sorrow and have full empathy for those veterans who suffer the after effects of war. But Harris also tells us that there is hope. Please read this wonderful book!
