In short, Matthew and Tilly are the best of friends who do everything together. After spending so much time together, they have a fight and need some time apart. A short time later, they realize how much they miss each other and forgive one another and the resilience of their friendship returns. I love using this book with my students. Its a perfect text to use when talking about themes within a text. Children can understand having an argument in a relationship. Its a great book to show that relationships can have ups and downs, and how we can forgive each other.
