God's best version of you is waiting. But first, John Orberg has two very important questions:

Are you REALLY LIVING=full of joy and peace, in harmony with God, others, self; curious, willing to learn and experience opportunities to grow toward the Best Version of yourself;

OR

Are you DECAYING=lacking mental and emotional energy, feeling uneasy and not

This book was recommended by a dear friend that has helped my through some ruff patches. With out a doubt, If your a christian and want to become a better version of yourself and come closer to God, then this is the book for you. In one word, he helps give you prespective. A different way of life that is totally faith based. A clarity about your christian needs and what is needed to continue your walk with God. An absolute must for your home library, bed side table and every day living. Excellent!!! I would not hesitate to give this as a gift at a wedding, shower, to a new christian or to a friend who is in need of some clarity.

Finally a book that speaks freedom to anyone struggling with past hurts from "Christians" burdening people with rules, "you shoulds" and "you ought's". No more trying to measure up to standards that have been driving good people from churches for years. Ortberg's book, "The Me I Want To Be" explores how living in the flow of the strengths that God gave you when you were born, you flourish and become more of who you were created to be. And everyone one is different!! There's grace enough for everyone who doesn't fit into a mold the modern church has been condemning people to. In this book discover the life-giving freedom to be who you were meant to be!

This book is very good. The disappointment was in learning that the on-line survey is no longer available, and that this was not clear when I purcased multiple copies and the faciliator material to use with a group.

There's not much more I can say. John tells plenty of interesting, funny stories, and he has this very human way of presenting everything that doesn't sound judgmental or demanding at all. He shows us what we've been missing in our relationship with God, and I've been loving every second of it. :) Read this book. Period. You owe it to yourself.

Great book. It removes the guilt of not being the perfect Christian, while giving you the freedom and tools to work toward just that.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO HAS GOOD CHRISTIAN VALUES SHOULD READ IT! MY PARENTS & I STUDIED ANOTHER GOOD CHRISTIAN BOOK BY THIS SAME AUTHOR & THAT BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD,IN FACT IT PERTAINED TO CURRENT THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON IN OUR WORLD TODAY!
