Got it for my daughter for Mother's Day this year. Once I picked it up in B&N and looked through it I knew it was for her! She has twins (boy/birl) and although they are only 6, I think this will be a book she will look back on over and over again. I hope she keeps it in plain sight, becaue I want to take another look at it myself! I got her "Mother to Son" to accompany it as well! She seemed genuinely pleased to receive them. A happy grandma of twins.
My husband gave me this book for Christmas since we're expecting a daughter in March (he also bought himself the corresponding 'Father to Daughter' book). I cried through most of it (ok, yes I'm a little emotional/hormonal right now) because it is so touching and really rings true. Each page has a thought provoking statement or piece of advice. Some are funny and some make you really think. And some are so true, that it really hits home already. Especially the last two pages....
