I was hooked on MUCH ADO right from the beginning. I felt like I knew Fia and her quirky spirit. She was light and airy, and in my mind exactly what I thought a perfect Scottish Miss would be. Thomas was tall, dark and a little bit full of himself. Together they made the perfect couple. She exasperated him and he sent her on fire. I really adored this book. The wit, the settings (Scotland, Thomas' ship & England), Fia and Thomas. I loved the secondary characters Robert and Duncan as well. I found myself laughing throughout the beginning and hated to put it down to feed the family. There's a bit of intrigue with some shady dealings. An army of Scots and plenty of humor. My suggestion is that if you're looking for a historical that's not your usual time period, a good adventure and romance then go get it. Its a fun, delicious read.

Karen Hawkins has written a cute, whimsical story involving a Scottish Lady, an English Lord and a menagerie of hapless animals. Thomas breaks into a castle to obtain documents for the English government and is knocked out of a window by Fia while he is escaping. Fia is trying to get to London to produce her plays and blackmails Thomas into taking her and her animals. While trying to escape they are caught in a compromising situation and are forced to marry. While fighting their attraction they learn that they were set up to be caught. This story is a continuation of funny, loving moments. I highly recommend it.

A great book but Karen Hawkins always writes great books I love how these two people meant. Both trying to steal something. Things were going great they had there ups and down but I thought it would all work out. Untill someone started problems and Thomas did not believe anything that Fia had to say when that happened I even started crying it was so sad but than of course it all worked out when Thomas woke up and reliezed what was going on. A happy ending I liked.
